I put the Stained Glass Quilt in the computer and fussed a larger version with different colors to make it my own. I hope to finish this at 112" square for the bed it will cover.
Then I went to picking fabrics in my extensive stash. I sat with my choices for a day or two and felt the oranges and maroons weren't exactly the right colors. So back to the stash for two other options, which happen to be the final choices. I couldn't forget the grey scale trim around the colors. Crossing fingers I have enough. I've not cut up the greys or black, but the white needs more strips.
Much better.
Nice and warm, don't you think?
Greys are a little tricky. Black and white is a little easier.
As any good quilter with a new pattern, I made one block to see if the finished size was what was in my plan. A little smaller so I'll add another border. That's always the answer to smaller quilts, right?
